Fall Bridge
The Columbia River Gorge, especially in the Fall, is a whirlwind of blowing leaves that work through the red, orange, and yellow spectrums of the color wheel. I had spent the day working my way east along the old highway, the noise from a distant Interstate 84 nothing more than a faint drone. I stopped at several of the waterfalls, taking pictures of the sunlit spray and the fall leaves. After one particularly scenic interlude, I headed back to my rental car, crossing over the stream on a slightly dilapidated bridge. Turning at the sound of a distant approaching vehicle, I was presented with a simplistic frame of the road and leaves.
